UKVI TOEFL Suspension update

Further updates relating to TOEFL

You should all now be aware that TOEFL is no longer accepted by the UKVI as a secure English language test for Tier 4 visa application purposes. We are keeping you informed of the decisions being made in light of this change and anticipate further announcements from the Home Office.

The latest update we received confirms that all TOEFL certificates taken before 17 April will continue to be accepted for visa applications for the time being. This means that UK Universities will currently accept visa applications which rely on a TOEFL certificate provided it is dated before 17 April 2014.

All international applicants for university courses (including those for summer Pre-sessional English) must ensure they have a valid certificate of English (normally IELTS or Pearson). If you have any queries on the validity of your test please contact GetSet for further advice.

The above advice is accurate at the time of writing. We understand that the Home Office will be making further announcements relating to this decision. Therefore the above advice could change at any time.
